Chevaliers Duel

I was prone to make changes and adjustments all the time because sometimes I couldn't find the right image with the right POV that matched my sketch, to make it short, I build an entire library of images of buildings, trees, objects, debris, fires, weapons and whatnot. I always saw Canterlot's designs reflected on these indian castles, temples or palaces, so I took those as base. I also got a lot of pictures of domes, towers and castles. I pretty much added every individual object to the background and shaped them in the way I wanted to build a destroyed Canterlot scene and on fire of course.

The funny thing is that when I finished the bg, which took me forever, trust me when I say this, the motion blur that I applied to assure speed, made the bg look very blur-ish which can't be really well appreaciated.

The ponies were a minor detail compared to this complex background XD...but I liked the way everything turned out, I liked the action in the scene and how well the ponies blend with all the real life-like elements.

A challenge indeed but completed
