Description

well, I know I'm late AF to post this, as Mr. Iwata passed away nearly a month ago, but I had all the intention to collaborate with the overwhelming and detailed amount of art and love that was spreaded in many corners of the internet, even non-gaming media were talking about Mr. Iwata's passing, and I've been inspired to do my own part as well. Sadly I have a very busy routine as of lately and I don't have the same amount of time to draw like I used to.

but... intention is what it counts right?

I was very ignorant about what Iwata did for Nintendo other than being Nintendo's CEO, after his passing, I got to learn many things about his past as a programmer and he did very impressive stuff for the company. However when it comes to me and how I do remember him. For me, he will always be the face of Nintendo Direct. I'm gonna miss the awkwards introductions by Mr. Iwata to each Nintendo Direct, how he was kind of stiff revealing news about upcoming games. I'll miss how soft and calm yet cheery his voice was as he was talking and I will always remember the 'Direct to you' thing. That was like his signature move and I admit I did it too as I was watching.

I like Nintendo more now because the bosses of the company are more social and interact with fans more, they like to make fun of themselves, and I can't get enough of their creativity for doing things. The mii fighters introduction video trailer for super smash bros that was shown in 2014's Nintendo Digital Event at E3 showing Iwata and Reggie fighting were one of the best things I've seen on the internet.

For me Iwata was Nintendo Direct, he will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything Mr. Iwata.

Sorry If I couldn't get some of these characters right, actually for me it's the first time I draw some of these.
